I truly wish one of these Fridays I'd be able to come to you brimming with exuberance about rushing out to the theaters to see some amazing films. This is not that day.
RENT: All Quiet On The Western Front
New on Blu-ray this week, and although it was released in 1930, it still remains one of the few films devoted to showing us how devastating World War I truly was and the horrors that the men faced. If you've not seen All Quiet on the Western Front, clearly you missed out on some good film appreciation opportunities. Get to it, suckas!
Another lame flick starring Reese Witherspoon and two overrated "hot guys" (I use that term in its most banal sense) running around blowing things up in the name of love. Should've released this one over Valentine's weekend and blown The Vow out of the water. (As if it's not already face down and floating downstream).
Also, you'll definitely want to skip this and watch this instead:
So instead, catch up on all of the Mock Oscar madness and go do something this weekend. Honor a dead president by not spending any at the movie theaters!
